First, go to your LW's menu bar, Tools > Options > Advanced > System startup & disable the option. If that does not fix it, see

Most people have some form of external storage medium. Why not copy your mp3's to your mp3 player. You must have a very old computer for it to not have a cd/dvd burner.
If you have another computer, network them so you can back up your important files.
