i have used limewire for years and i recently got a new computer and my initial limewire setup on this new computer worked fine until i began messing with the option settings(upload/download stuff), which I doubt caused my no connection problem. However, i have read through various post/stickies and have done the following: reinstall limewire, deleted pref folder and setup port forwarding using port 6346. Here is my info:

12. Is this a your 1st try at LW or is this a new problem with an experienced user.

For those using a modem/router, how is your modem/router set up...are you port forwarding or is UPnP enabled?

USA This computer was built by a friend and I am not sure what programs and stuff he put in here, is there a way to search for firewalls? there are not obvious ones(norton, mcfee, etc), but maybe there is an "unknown" firewall somewhere? I am looking for any other suggestion as to what to look for and do. i appreciate any help, thanks!
