i had a look at the link about PORT FORWARDING but it seems like a very technical task to do, i am not understanding how to set up a static ip address & i'm afraid i might mess things up!

can you give me anymore information on how to completley disable firewalls, on a modem/router (i.e) command line dos prompt plz? and does this method usualy work?

what would happen if i forwarded the limewire ports to my modem/router, but didn't bother with setting up a static ip address?
