I have had the same problem in Windows XP. What virus protection program are you using? I use Trend Micro Systems PC-cillin. When I turn off the virus program, I am able to connect without any problems. Takes a minute, but it does connect. I'm searching for information now to add an exception to my virus program so that LimeWire will connect while Trend is running.
