Default Connection problem using Limewire

I consistently have only 1 bar and Limewire always says Starting Connection. When I try to search music it gives me a dialogue box that says Limewire is currently connecting to the network. Your search may not return many results until you are fully connected to this network.

I think I am sharing the connection with my home computer because I am using wireless router to run my laptop. I don’t know how to access details of setup to determine.
No, this is not my first try at using LW. I was an active user but required my hard drive to be set back to 0’s and 1’s so I had to download a new Limewire in which I chose to purchase Limewire Pro but then was unable to connect.
Yes, there is a brickwall in front of the blue world icon. I have Window’s firewall disabled and have changed my security settings in McAfee to allow Limewire Full Access in the Permissions tab.
My modem is UPnP enabled
I live in US (Sapulpa, Oklahoma)
I have tried removing my McAfee using Add/Remove programs and even without a firewall I am still unable to access Limewire.
I have also tried to follow the instructions from other Forum threads for port forwarding. I don’t know if I configured properly but I was still unable to connect. I tried to make sure I went back and reset all my settings to their original settings.
Please help
