You will find UPnP the same place you found and implemented IGD in XP.

As for ICMP, some modems and firewalls have that setting available if yours does not then no problem.

Unfortunately, I do not use the Windows Firewall (I have always thought of it as a waste of time - but some forum members say that it now works as a normal firewall).

As for your final question, all you can do is try it and see.
