rna2007,
Try the fixes in the thread below. Go through them slowly. If nothing there helps, please post back with your system details (the thread below has a link to click which shows the details that we need).
If LW Will Not Connect
************************************************** **************
Udougy,
Did you just buy 4.9.33 Pro? That's a really old version released in Oct 2005 (just hoping you haven't been scammed into paying for an old Pro). Did you buy that from
Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent « (& actually pay the official site)? Let us know if you've just bought that version.
First of all, try deleting LW's preferences folder when LW's properly closed. See point 3 here & also point 2 if you've used older versions of LW in the past (there could be a folder in either location).
Fixes for LimeWire
This will change all of your settings within options, you'll have to go back through afterwards & reset things. If you're not sure of your settings, go through LW's tools > options & write them all down, so that you can reset things later.
If that doesn't help, try the fixes in the link I left for rna2007. If none of those help, you could try port forwarding for your router...the instructions are here.
Port Forwarding for the Linksys WRT54GSv4
Don't forget to set up a static IP address first. LW's listening port, port in the 'manual port forward' box & port forwarded within your router setup should all be the same number.

Dermot2927,
Do the same as I advised rna2007.
