darkman - i had the same issue. i have been troubleshooting this since yesterday after upgrading to 4.16. bottom line is i did the following;

1) deinstall limewire completely
2) do a file search on *limewire*.*
3) delete everything, empty recycle bin and reboot
4) download limewire

I am now connecting !!!
