I bought it from a link I clicked on in the actual original LimeWire client. I hadn't used a Google search or other search, I just clicked on the thing at the bottom of the client that says "Upgrade to LimeWire Pro." It opened the company website, I downloaded and installed the Windows version, and it installed the actual LimeWire Pro. Then later on when I tried to open it again (at the time I wrote the first post), it had for some reason "reverted" to the original LimeWire design, the non-Pro.
When I did the Pro version download, I went to the official LimeWire site. It was not a generic download hub-- I used the regular
Lime Wire » Official Website & Free Download, BitTorrent «.
What I see when I try to open up LimeWire from the desktop icon is that the icon itself says LimeWire 4.16.6, but when I click to open it, it opens as LimeWire 4.14, the older version. I wonder if maybe the install did not go through completely. Is there any way I can refresh or redo the installation without having to pay another fee?
Thank you for your help. It really is appreciated.
