If using Kaspersky stopped the BSOD I'd say stick with what works and forget about Norton. (Kaspersky is a very reputable AV program).
There must be something in one of those two applications that does'nt agree with your new setup.
Maybe you could try un-installing LimeWire and re-installing that and see what happens... I'm afraid this is one problem I can't suggest much in the way of help.
The only other thing I can suggest is for you is to install the apps one at a time and hope to narrow it down to which one is causing the problem.
I would install Norton without Spyware Doctor and see if the BSOD stops then, and then uninstall Norton and try installing SD on it's own.
Hoping that somehow you can narrow it down to which one is causing the interference with your new system.
You certainly did a big update of hardware devices. You nearly have a completely new computer with all the things you have installed in the upgrade.
Maybe you could borrow someone elses modem for a couple of hours and that would help to narrow your search down a bit more.
Good luck with your investigations. I hope you can find which of these applications are causing these BSOD's
It must be very frustrating! |
