Try doing a search from the start menu using the name of a file you know you should have. Something like: B**tles - L*t It B*.mp3 or R*ll*ng S**nes - J**ping J*ck Fl*sh.mp3 and then see what comes up.
Make sure you are including your whole computer in the search.
When you get the search box open click on Advanced Search and then where it says Location click on "Everywhere". That way your entire computer will be searched for existing files. And the location of any files you know you should have will be exposed.
If nothing shows up in this search you have probably accidentally deleted all those files although I don't know how clicking on refresh would do that.
