are you on a windows machine?
click START -> Run
paste this into the directory field:
C:\WINDOWS\WINIPCFG.EXE
and hit OK.
You might as well take your explorer and open the file by double clicking it.
if you're not in a LAN it should tell you your IP.
if you're in a lan or have problems go to this URL and it will tell you your IP as well.
