After having wrestled with my computer for the last 2 weeks and having deleted and re-downloaded Limewire several times due to problems with it freezing up... I think I might finally have the answer!!!

I was simply sharing TOO many files. 21,000 to be exact... and it would seem that it was too many.

I have now cut that down a bit and eveything is running smoothly again.
