look....go into your old PC and find the actual files....not playlists, the files...it might help if you go to your control panel and make it so that file extensions are shown...do this via Start>Control Panel>Folder Options>View (advanced) and uncheck the box that says hide file extensions for known file types...
now, your files are in your shared folder I assume...in LW, tools>options>sharing (or downloads I guess) and the path of said folder will be given...
go to that folder, and there your files are...
now plug in your flash drive and copy all of the music files onto it...then plug it into your new computer and copy the files off of it, making sure to not allow Vista to take control of the process...
in your first post you use the number 800...well, 800 music files should be about 3.5GB of data....
