Reading the red sticky threads at the top of forum sections would be a start

Try the fixes in the thread below. Start off by deleting LW's preferences folder, when LW's properly closed. You'll know if you've done it correctly - when you restart LW, you'll go through the setup wizard again. Otherwise, try the other fixes.
If nothing there helps, post back with your system details.
