There's a difference between virusses put in by criminals to hose your computer and the state using virusses to stop you from doing something which might or might not be illegal in your country.
If the state sets out vira, then it crosses the line between good law enforecement and opression.
Do you honestly say that it isn't a damn crime if the stae puts in fake virus infected files which destroy p2p users computers?
For me it is similar to using landmines for keeping me from walking over the lawn of the white house. A virus is like a landmine, just much worse, because it spreads. It behaves like a biohazard landmine in digital space. |
