Yeah ... torrents may have a lot of connections & the messages sent to & fro to the tracker which can cause havoc with your connection if there's a lot of people with the same torrent. With a regular torrent program you can restrict such connections. Unfortunately LW does not give you that option. Instead your LW gets flooded with connections as does your router & system. And since Windows SP by default attempts to restrict your connections, a conflict can occur 'I guess' also.
People using wireless devices would be much more affected in the above scenario. Wireless devices do not handle high no. of connections or bandwidth very well. Wireless devices tend to give inconsistent results, drops in bandwidth, possibly even resulting in your modem/router struggling & perhaps even eventually losing connection altogether. |
