AFAIK, Ares has absolutely nothing to do with the Gnutella Network. I myself, knows nothing about Ares, but the Link below lists many scam sites that offer many different P2P programs while scamming the typical layman into buying something that my be or usually is B/S. They may also continue to charge your CC without you even knowing it.
I would suggest calling your financial institution immediately and tell them that you think you've been Scammed and ask for your money back.
Look through the list in the Link and see if any of thoses sites are the ones that you bought Ares from.
