Do you know of anybody else who is able to use LW at the school? Many schools block p2p sharing programs. Also you have no access to their network firewall, only perhaps the computer you are at.

Also, only one firewall should be used with LW. Adding LW as an exception in the firewall rules & disabling the other firewall.
