Default Expecting too much from technology

Ramsmaiden

Are you expecting too much out from technology? Well yes, you are.

Domestic technology comes with a lot of hype, written by non-techie ad-men who tend to gloss over (or hide) the inherent complications and multiple tech company rivalries which prevent them from standardising on a protocol.

For example, an inherent complication is that most domestic DVD players will not play AVI films, plus you can never guarantee the quality of films downloaded from the gnutella network.

I won’t even go into the problems with “burning software” other than to say that Nero has lost it’s way since producing V5.5 and V6.0 (I can vouch for V5.5 as a truly brilliant piece of software for it’s time).

Finally, the only way you can be certain that any piece of tech kit or software will work is by doing some research prior to purchasing, i.e. finding out what real users and reviewers are saying.
