That legal notice shows for all LW versions. My advice is to ignore it unless it bothers you greatly.

The Gnutella network is still strong & lots of content out there.

There are a couple of LW adapted versions that do not show the legal notice.

The court injunction last month was to prevent the LW company distributing their software.
Next January they will go back to court where the RIAA will seek damages. Last I heard the LW company wishes to compromise with the RIAA. Thus we can expect LW to join iMesh, BearShare & Shareaza on a commercial network, not the Gnutella network.
