uh oh, BearShare 9 is not covered on this forum. The program changed hands, sold out, & no longer even runs on the Gnutella network after version 5. BearShare is now a semi commercial program.

The older BearShare runs on the Gnutella network, people share files to each other for free. People still use BearShare v.5 & I also use it occasionally. The version I use is 5.1 beta; http://www.gnutellaforums.com/host-c...bearshare.html with tips on how to get the older BearShare up & running & connecting.
