RE: Cookie Crusher There are some proggies that I couldn't live without, and Cookie Crusher is one of them. It will prompt the user when a site attempts to write a cookie to the hard drive. You can then tell it to:
1. Never accept that cookie, and it will never ask you about that particular cookie again, it will never accept it.
2. Always accept that cookie, and it will never ask you about that particular cookie again, it will always accept it.
3. Reject that cookie, and it will reject it and prompt you again the next time that particular cookie tries to write to the HDD.
4. Accept, and it will accept it and prompt you again the next time that particular cookie tries to write to the HDD.
So if the site that you are trying to access requires cookies, then you'll have to accept it, however, you can be very selective and accept only the cookie required by that site. You can block all the adware cookies, and the rest of the garbage. You can also configure Cookie Crusher to open automaticly when other programs of your choice open, such as IE, dial-up connection, ect. And then you can also configure Cookie Crusher to open other programs when it opens. For example, when I launch IE, Cookie Crusher automaticly launches, and when Cookie Crusher launches, it automaticly launches DU Meter. |
