Default Australian website censorship seed now sewn, watch it grow into a forest of no access

The Australian Federal Court has ordered all Australian internet companies to censor access to The Pirate Bay, Torrentz, TorrentHound, IsoHunt and streaming service SolarMovie from Australian audiences within the next 15 days. Kickass Torrents case still before courts. A spokesman (company executive) said "We will be back in court at the earliest possible moment and we'll be blocking 50 sites"

The Seed is sewn; now the stream of blocked websites will flow like a river. One day it's 5, then 55, then 500, then 5,000 and then half a million websites (for probably any petty reason.)

Who does this censorship benefit? An extremely small minority of the population of the country, but mostly USA.

Is that not censuring of freedom of navigation on the web? Removal of freedoms of movement and communication on the internet. Who of the population needs internet censorship?

China here we come, Australia will no doubt be heading toward becoming the most censured country on the planet. With everyone ending up with numbed brains. (Yes advertising outnumbering genuine content 10 or 55+ to one.)

The funny thing here is that anybody within Australia can still visit any extremist or terrorist sponsored website. That's the huge hypocrisy of the Australian Government and Federal Court's direction.
It's no surprise so many people voted for One Nation political party at the last Australian election when they see the major political parties making such crony law changes.

The Australian Government definitely has their priorities in the right place; fine-tuning laws to suit a few businesses so the 5 or 20+ million dollar annual wages of their executives can receive a multi-million dollar annual bonus. That's far more important than a football ground, airport or other major venue being blown up. Good thinking Australia, thumbs up to your cleverness.
