Now that I think about it, it makes sense. Some other client might upload faster so the file will finish before it reaches 100% on my box. The one thing that is annoying about the upload window is that there is not option to auto clear uploads.

And yes, uploading is important, if everybody moves the files after he receives them. The network will self destruct after a while. Users need to realize that even a 56K modem with the upload set to 1KB/s makes a difference because 10 users with the same file will still produce +/-10KB/s.
