I just wanted to let everyone know that we are aware of these issues and are working hard to solve them.

We will be releasing LimeWire 1.4c sometime next week, and it will include a new version of the Java 2 Runtime Environment that we hope will clear up some of these problems and that should speed LimeWire's performance significantly.

Please note, however, that the next version of LimeWire will be a maintenance release. This means that will will probably choose not to notify you on startup that a new version is available -- the update pattern that we have been following for any release with a letter at the end (as in LimeWire1.4c). So, to update to the new version, you will have to visit our web site on your own. If you long for the new version, I would recommend visiting our web site by the end of next week to see if it is available.

LimeWire 1.4c will also include the option to reduce the program to the system tray on Windows.

Thanks to everyone for pointing out these bugs.
