I'm not sure if it's possible with a poll, but if it is, maybe you could make all the names in the poll link to their respective homepages. This way newbies coming here looking for a client can just look at the poll and click on the one they want (or the one with the most votes).

It looks pretty evenly split so far between Bearshare, Limewire, Shareaza, and Xolox.
