You do not seem to know what Avatar means.It has 2 meanings:

1.Symbol/object From the/descended by the divine.This is however not the modern interpetation of the word.These days the following interpetation is used on the Internet:

2.Avatar=Digital virtual representation/depiction/symbol of an individual person on the Internet.This Avatar represents you on the Internet or more likely on to different forums or communitys on the Internet.It kind of acts as your face on the forum.

So this means that since it is a digital representation of you it also means that you have to be registered to use one.
