Your feature request is a sensible one.

You may be interested to know that a requery is a re-search, not a request to the same host that the file transfer be resumed.


The reason that requeries cannot be sent too frequently is because, since queries must be sent directly between computers, it is an enormous waste of bandwidth that can go to other purposes such as file transfers, other queries, query replies, and a variety of other useful devices. If instead this bandwith was used to requery the same search string frequently, it would slow down file transfer speed as well as diminishing the number of search results on the network.

The LimeWire development team is working on strategies to improve search results, and successful downloads.
