I have gotten bad files and added "BAD" to their names, since on a Mac I don't have many letters to spare. Well, guess what? They are my most popular files! People only see the grouped files and don't check in the list.
Also, I don't think you can give a file a long name if it wasn't downloaded from Limewire to begin with. Every time I try this, when I refresh the list, the name returns to the original short Mac name. Same thing with aliases.
The way Limewire treats file names on the Mac is one of the lamest features. Why can't it just drop the middle out instead of giving it a gibberish series of letters and numbers?
.sit is for Mac, .zip is for PC. Easy rule.
