There is a distinct danger that you WMA files are copy protected. In which case they won't play on any but your own computer. Microsoft have gone to some effort to prevent anyone converting WMA files to any other format - another copy protection feature.

Provided that you are sure the files are not copyprotected (there should be an option in WMP to turn copy-protection off) then there is no problem sharing WMA files.

MP3 is a less restricted standard and consequently preferable to WMA in my opinion.

You can add any number of folders to share in LimeWire - Tools|Options|Sharing and browse to your music folder.
