Unhappy What's wrong?

Hi. I compiled the mutella as it comes in the tar.gz format since the shell I'll be running it from uses Redhat and doesnt support debian packages. So after running it and typing info, I get the following lines:
> info
network horizon:
----------------
ReachebleHosts: 0 SharingHosts: 0 Files: 0 Capacity: 0M

sockets:
--------
Network: 0 Uploads: 0 Downloads: 0 / 0

bandwidth:
----------
Network:0/s Uploads:0/s Downloads:0/s Total:0/s

gnutella network connections:
-----------------------------
1) 209.61.184.225:6346 [ 0|0 ]/s drp:0 0/0K time:9s
2) 209.61.184.226:6346 [ 0|0 ]/s drp:0 0/0K time:7s
3) 65.59.117.194:6346 [ 0|0 ]/s drp:0 0/0K time:2s
4) 209.61.184.227:6346 [ 0|0 ]/s drp:0 0/0K time:0s
total connections: 4 rate: [ 0|0 ]/sec

Even after waiting out a few minutes, this screen still shows up, or sometimes the hosts are in different order...but I never seem to be able to make those hosts actually display me something like how many users and how much files and stuff is there...so what could be wrong? Some problem in the compiling? Some option unchecked? Or could it be that the machine has port 6346 closed; how could I check if the remote machine has the port 6346 closed/disabled?
Thanks in advance, domo
