Exclamation Bug: identical simultaneous uploads

I sent this to bugs@limewire.com but I thought I'd post the problem here too.

I just downloaded the latest version of LimeWire Pro (2.6.3). I have noticed a problem that existed also in 2.5.x.

Short description: If an upload request comes in that has the same file name and IP address as an upload previously listed in the Monitor tab, a new upload slot sometimes get created. When this happens repeatedly, all available upload slots become occupied with open but dead connections, blocking any further uploads requests from being fulfilled. This happens occasionally (unfortunately it's not one of those predictable repeatable bugs).

Long description:

Sometimes in the Monitor tab, I will see multiple simultaneous requests for the same file, by the same IP address. These requests are active requests (labeled "Uploading") having a transfer rate of zero. Meaning, they are dead, but still open, and the upload is usually going on in another upload slot.

I experimented a bit. I cleared all inactive uploads, killed all the open duplicated uploads, and waited. A new upload request came in. Then another identical request came in from the same IP address, for the same file. The first request didn't go inactive, but the transfer rate went to 0, and it was still labeled "Uploading." Then two more requests came in from the same IP address for the same file. Both of these had a positive transfer rate while the other two requests remained open. Eventually one of the new requests went to zero but remained open.

Eventually ALL my upload slots are filled with dead requests! Any new "legitimate" requests are then denied because all upload slots are full of open but dead connections.

Please fix LimeWire so that if a request comes in that has the same file name and IP address as an upload previously listed, a new upload slot doesn't get created. It makes no sense to have multiple identical uploads existing simultaneously. Each IP/filename combination should be unique, not occuring more than once in the list of upload slots.
