Okkies...

I installed Java 1.4.1
ok...

installed Lime Wire...
okish...

I got no errors, but... I tried to follow a guys help from here http://www.gnutellaforums.com/showth...threadid=16246
he says about I -s ... etc but.. that does not work, i do not understand why i have to edit the libs or whatever...

So i skipped that part :P and i read the readme after installing LimeWire. First paragraph said to get it working ty 'sh runLime.sh'... Well this runs the program fine (no errors as of yet ) so.. i was wondering if i had to edit the lib files etc?

As i say LimeWire seems to be running fine..

So i suggest anyone having problems to install you simply follow these:

1) If you have an older version of Java 1.4.1 i suggest u remove it and install 1.4.1

2) Install 1.4.1 and check by typing 'Java' ( a list of things should appear )

3) Download LimeWire.bin file... set permissions so you are able to open.

4) Install LimeWire in your usr area.

5) open a new terminal and type 'sh runLime.sh'

Thats it, pretty simple... basically i installed without having any knowledge of Linux ( have been using Mandrake 9.0 for only 2 days ). So if i can do it, just try to think about it. Oh and i also noticed that people make new threads and they have the same problems, READ THE THREADS, to see if someone has had the same problem already and if someone has helped them out.

Oh, and does anyone know how i can make an icon on my desktop open LimeWire through using the commands cd LimeWire then sh runLime.sh ?
