Telnet says "Gnutella OK", but can't connect to any hosts. I just have a constantly changing list of IP addresses attempting to connect. This condition began very unexpectedly, but also about the same time I upgraded to ver 2.7.3. Tried other clients (Shareaza, QmaxTrax, etc.) all with the same issue. Combed over this forum, tried the Gnutella connection client, but still no luck. Even though telnet says Gnutella Ok, I decided to ask my ISP if they had anything to do with it. BINGO! "Oh, well, we began 'limiting' P2P gnutella traffic." Which I took to mean that unless I'm on DSL or cable or better (which I'm not) I won't really connect at all.

For all of you experiencing similar connection issues, check with your ISP.
