I think you answered my question.

However my question differs from all of the other iTunes questions. My question focuses on the type of file you are downloading. Or as it appears in the hard drive, the "kind" of file you are downloading.

All of my music is now being downloaded as an "iTunes document". Before they were coming as "MP3 Audio File"s. In both instances they opened up in iTunes by default. I just wanted to know if the "kind" of file it was would interfere with anything. Burning them as mp3s or normal size files to play in a conventional CD player.

That was my question, NOT how do I get them to open in iTunes. Thank you though.
