I would advice you to wait till LimeWire 1.5 is re-released. It's much more friendly towards MacOS X starting with this version.

The limewire.sh file that you have (ver 1.4b) is actually a Unix sell script which you would need to run from the terminal. Since most likely, none of this makes sense (if it does, then by all means go for it) pretty much hang tight and download 1.5 whenever it appears again.

1.5 is a typical Macintosh application which only requires you to double click on the icon inorder to launch the application.
