I'm pretty sure Java can do that. I use a text editor called Jext
www.jext.org that's written in Java, and I'm fairly sure it had scroll wheel compatibility. It's open source, so you should be able to figure it out pretty quickly.
Other than that, keep up the great work. It's fun to see so much cool technology in one place. I'll send you bug reports, and maybe if I find some time, see what I can do to contribute.
