Post Comparison

I have bee trying a few clients tonight and am now using LimeWire and Gnucleus (by the way be careful with Toadnode it crashed my sysetm and kept crashing it.) Anyway the next bit is not for the limeWire faint hearted but other than a preety face lime wire is a docile pig. (I'm being constructive here and comparing it to what i have played with) Why a pig, well so far I have had a very good success rate with Gnucleus and 95% failure with LW I have read the help files but it still fails, only one successfull download. Its slow to start and slow to respond if resorces are a bit in demand (Java Junk, sorry thats java but I'm open minded thats why i'm hopeing for some feedback.) i can't figure out how to tell a good respons time to select the best for download nor resume search yet alone always having to retyape the the same if you want to search again or what time left to download, half the time you dont know whether it's still looking for there is no indication.

It may have some nice features but the basics just arn't there.

In the time that it took me to write this the file that I clicked on Gnucleus is half downloaded and the files that LW was trying to dowload failed. Just incase if there is any conflict in running both at the same time LW was also failing misserably when it was running on its own for two hours.

This is the 6th time I have downloaded a java program and its the 6th time I am going to dump it unless somebody can convince me otherwise for maybe it is me but I have yet to see anything good come out of java apps.

sorry people all I see is a great gui but with 5+Mb of fat and no practicallity, and in thought even if the basics where there it would probably still fail.

Pleas, convince me otherwise for I like the gui and some features but I would like to also do the job..
