Ms.knee or is it mr.? Well anyway once you get on line there is only so much bandwith available with tour connection. There are a host of programs I no with Win.XP that I run that constently try to connect to the internet along with installed programs which in tern will erode your bandwith to zilch after they connect or even try to. Norton personal fire wall does a good job on my system allerting me apon any attempt to access without my knowing and it's blocked!!! Try to find out what programs are using your connection for auto updates or anything else. Hope this helps.
