Is this an open-source program? <perk> as I am concocting a delightful design a la Winamp of a program composed of plug-ins (using COM but may later port to Linux/CORBA)... because I forsee the ephemeral nature of today's P2P protocols... they will soon die out, to be replaced by protocols which protect one's identity (and require broadband!)...

But this will be my first foray into VC++6 (and I'm entirely self-taught, have been since I was eight!) so I can't claim to be someone you're looking for...

But if this is an evolutionary open-source project, I'd like to keep tabs on it
