Actually, I was having no problems downloading from work (even with a firewall) on the T1 line until a few weeks ago. I have talked to the Administrators here, and there have been NO changes made on their end. At all. So, I seriously doubt that the problem is on this end. Anyway, it seems like TONS of people are having this same problem, even without a firewall. So why doesn't Limewire figure out how to fix it?
I don't have a Connections Tab, although I have PRO (which, like I said, seems to NOT be worth the money). The searches that I'm attempting are very popular, returning 100+ results. Things like "Coldplay" and "Radiohead" are not very remote. I click to download them, they appear in my Downloads window, they say "Connecting"...and then they change to "Could not download; awaiting more hosts". How many hosts do I need? The song came up in the results, right?
I thought that PRO was supposed to work BETTER than the free version, and I'm losing my patience with it.At home, on my 56K dial-up, I AM connected to the internet when I am trying to connect to Limewire. Sending email, reading news...everything else is working fine. Except the version of Limewire that I paid for. |
