That's useful information!

If you have access to the modem, try locating it so you get a stronger, steadier signal. I don't know XP (OSX here), but if you, a friend, or even the help desk at Spring can do a ping test, those results can indicate the steadiness of your connection. Wireless is great--when there's no interference!

LW handles many more communications per second than AIM to keep connections alive, and others prefer to connect to reliable hosts. So, if your ISP (Spring) tells you they don't interfere with gnutella traffic, the wireless will be the part of the connection to examine.
