I have a cable connection which should be able to download up to 80kb/s. I have tried to download dozens of files but the best rate I got is about 3kb/s. I must be doing something wrong.

I am working on a network and am connected to the internet through a router. Could that have something to do with the problem?

Otherwise, what else could it be?
