I have run some experiments and tried them in a few different ways. Running Limewire, Bearshare, and Gnucleus on one computer and 3 different computers I manually connected them all to the same four hosts. Then I performed the exact same searches at the same time. The TTL and all other setting where the same. Everytime BS turned up more results. Furthermore, it was difficult to keep Limewire and Gnucleus connected to the same hosts as the BS client. THe BS client kept dropping all other clients for other BS clients. When LW and Gn were connected to BS clients they seemed to be dropped. One thing I did find was that many of the BS IP addresses that sent back results to BS were not sending back results to the other 2 clients. As I said, this has been tried with all 3 running on the same computer, all with nonstandard ports with, and 3 different computers all on the standard port, on the same network, same CPU, memory, ect. Now this experiment is far from perfect, but...
