I'm pretty new to the gnutella thing, and have recently got a cable modem. I'm not sure if anyone can help, but I thought I'd ask anyway.

Normally, my connection is fine. But when I try to use a software package based on gnutella (bearshare, limewire, and gnotella so far) the connection drops after a period of time, usually around 10-20 minutes. The connection comes back after about a minute, and I can resume where I left off usually, but it's definitely a pain in the rear.

I've had the guys at RoadRunner come out, and they've tested the line and even replaced the modem, but so far the problem's still there.

Has anyone had this problem, or can think of what might be causing this? I've not had this problem with surfing the web, or even with other file sharing programs (I've tried Morpheus; I'd prefer not to go back... )
