Most car CD players will not play the MP3 format. You will have to burn them to a CDA format. I don't know what you are using to make your CD's but all the common burmers will make an audio CD that will play in audio players.

Mp3's are highly compressed and will not play in most current players. Most newer DVD players will play MP3's and, I am sure most CD players will soon handle them.

To answer your question a CD-R 700 MB will work in your car if you burn it in a CDA format.
