I would recommend moving the splash screen forward in the start up process so it appears right away. It seems like nothing has happened for 10 or 12 seconds until it finally appears.

I would also have the "Getting Started" screen expire after a couple appearances. It has to be manually shut down every time you start Limewire and it gets old after a while.
