Question beginning downloads at 50%

it would be nice if limewire could search files using user guided matches for similarities. I have no idea if this is possible, but if the file extension was the same (mp3 or avi or mpg) searching the source code for matches could complete some files thus making most downloads successful.
For example, say i have a song on a mp3 with a short into thats lame, so I take a song, lets say its called heros.mp3, I slice out the intro and now have the same file as others on limewire, but it is not a 'match' to the network, so it is useless as a swarming tool for other users.
Im sure you know this is common, triming files or slicing large ones into two small files.
So if a user was able to select what she thinks is a match (such as files that say 1of 2), could limewire create a feature that checks for a matching sorce code within a file?
Im not to tech wise, so if this is a neat idea and not possible yet, could someone let me know.
