new user in need of help on karaoke files Hi there i have just become a member of limewire primarely to share karaoke files. I am thinking of using a karaoke player called compuhost to play the karaoke files. But to install them on the programme they have to be mp3+g.zip files. How do i convert the mpg files that are listed under the karaoke section of downloads into the mp3+g.zip format that i need ? I have tried out the downloads and they work using windows meadia player but the compuhost dosnt recognise them as mp3+g.zip files. Can anyone give me ideas how i can convert the downloaded files so that i can use them. Or alternatively give me a suggestion on what player to use to play the files as they are. I want to be able to use them at home on my tv screen like a normal karaoke so that i can get some practice Many thanks in anticpation |

How to convert ?? How goes Mike ! I know your frustration. I've been a karaoke fan for maybe a year. I'll tell you what I know through many many hours of trial and error. Look for your music in an MP3+G format ( two files with identical name but one is .mp3 the other .cdg) ziped or not. Try doing torrent searches for your music, there is a ton out there. Look for Virtual DJ to play these MP3+G files on your computer. Then if you have a karoke machine that you can hook up to your TV try looking for Power CD+G burner to convert from MP3+G to CD+G format so your karaole machine can play them for you. There are many details but this is the nitty gritty. Hope it helps. Happy Hunting JF Last edited by JFlanker; June 24th, 2008 at 05:39 PM. |

I have a program to download karaoke songs in a zip file, but, I must be online 24/7 to operate. I live in an area that I am not able to get highspeed to use it. However, when I have downloaded .zip file, I then use Alcohol 120 to convert zip to .bin file. Then I am able to burn to cd. |

I might add there is a site dedicated to Karoake downloading ans sharing on the MIRC network.... Removed: looks very much like a paysite should get you to it.... and I use the microstudio software to burn my cd's and run my karoake shows. Sleepless edit: Feel free to prove me wrong, but until then don't post that link here. Last edited by Sleepless; July 31st, 2010 at 07:19 PM. |
